Check out her pick from Studio Steal Noire & her personal quotient on it. Lets start with a quick rapid fire –
Q. Current City?
A. Bangalore, for now.
Q. Current job & designation?
A. A ‘work in progress’ and Full time ‘Creative Snob’ at Myntra and Freelance Fashion/Art Director.
Q. Your style staples?
A. LBD, Classic shirts and Fatal Red Court shoes.
Q. Your wardrobe essentials?
A. Everything In ‘Black’ & ‘white’, across categories.
Q. On a bad hair day you would wear?
A. A top Bun.
Q. What all is in your bag “always”?
A. A laptop, which is like an extended part of my body now and not a machine anymore, a notepad and Steadtler pens (yes, you heard me right), my wallet which takes care of me like a father, A kit bag by Manish Arora which accommodates all my essentials from a swiss knife to a lipstick and also adds a lot of character to my attire with its crazy psychedelic print.
Q. How styling well can affect a person’s personality? :
A. When you Dress up good, it can uplift your mood in a second like a ‘Martini’! You’re ready to rule the world.
Q. Your take on fashion in 2016 summer?
A. I see a lot of ‘rose quartz’ and romanticism happening.
Q. Favorite picks from Steal Noire? :
A. The Limited Edition ‘Rose Love’ Corset.
Q. Your mood for Rose Love?
A. Umm.. would name it as “Rose’ Romanticism”
Pairing this cute corset from Steal Noire with White denims & my favorite pair for sunglasses & bold lips! Minimal accessory will steal the show at the day out or beach party!
Q. What more would you like to see from us in next season?
A. ‘Shift Dresses’ may be.
Q. Does size matter in styling? are only thin people stylish or can be?
A. Whoever said so, must be a fool, Because style has nothing to do with the size, that ways brands and designers would only produce XS and S and not M, L and XL. Also yes not every style suits every body type, hence we, people, need to understand and accept our body type and then shop/style accordingly. Be Smart and need not follow every trend and everyone, rather create your own style and be comfortable in your own skin.
Q. People confuse designers with stylists in India? Whats your take?
A. I don’t think so but if at all this is the case then I would like to say that “Designers creates beautiful pieces” and “a stylist puts these beautifuls together, from different labels/designers and makes another masterpiece”, with a totally different take on it, because different elements are required to create a story and that’s how they complete each other.
Perhaps, people do confuse stylists with ‘hair stylists’ in India.
Q. Is make up an essential part of styling?
A. Yes and hair too, but make up always doesn’t mean “a cake face”.
Q. Are you being paid for this interview lol…
A. How I wish, LOL.
Its was a fun filled session with our awesomely stunning stylist Nidhi Rajain over coffee in the city of gardens.
